I love the way this fabric turned out! Very messy dying fabric and I always forget to wear gloves!
It reminds me of Buddhist monks saffron coloured robes. We used to have a group of Buddhist monks living near us and I always felt more at peace watching them walk through our neighbourhood. Miss those guys... called them my "Monk Buddies"
I'll be using the fabric in a large mixed media piece I am working on. Should be pretty cool.
These nasturtiums were the inspiration for the fabric. Aren't they beautiful? Good enough to eat. In fact way back before anyone had heard of such a thing, my always creative mother used to throw them into our salads. She was the original Martha Stewart- just without the prison time :)
