Empty Nest Syndrome ... Who Me??

Last Tuesday my son left home for university. Although his campus is not at all far away, the empty bedroom is going to take some getting used to.
Seeing the younger kids on our street playing on their last weekend before school starts reminds me of how I felt as a child at this time. Sort of a mixture of excitement at the prospect of a new school year and at the same time sadness that the summer was over. I am thinking about all of you who are off to new adventures next week.
