From Monet to Dali....and Beyond

Last night my husband and I went gallery hopping in downtown Vancouver.We began the warm summery evening at the opening reception for the Color Field exhibit at the Buschlen-Mowatt Gallery and ended the night at the Vancouver Art Gallery

to see the Monet to Dali show that closes on Sunday. Wow! So much fabulous art. Although I can appreciate the talent of the Impressionist Movement, what literally took my breath away was this Dali painting. I have never been much of a fan of surrealism, but to see this piece up close made a strange, almost spiritual impact on me. I kept coming back to it again and again. There is a stunning depth to this gorgeous painting that can only truly be experienced by seeing it in person. Inspiring....
